The whole directory, as a file. 827 listings, six sensory facts each, updated whenever the site is.

What is in it

One row per listing: id, name, city, address, lat, lng, website_url, maps_url, url (the page on this site), and the six fact columns.

Each fact column is 1 when someone confirmed it and 0 when we have no mark. Zero means unchecked, not absent. Please carry that distinction through if you reuse the data — collapsing it into "not quiet" is the one thing that would make this dataset misleading.

ColumnMeans
tag_gentle_soundGentle Sound
The room is quiet enough to hold a conversation without raising your voice.
tag_friendly_lightingFriendly Light
No harsh overhead glare, no flicker, no strobing, no colour-shifting lights.
tag_fresh_airFresh Air
Ventilation, an opening window or a courtyard — the air is not stagnant.
tag_wall_seatingWall Seating
Somewhere to sit with your back to a wall rather than in the middle of the room.
tag_contactlessContactless
A screen, an app, a QR menu or a written order — a way to order without speaking.
tag_easy_menuEasy Menu
A short, plainly written menu you can read without decoding it.

Licence

The data is published under CC BY 4.0. Use it, remix it, build on it — commercially too. The one condition is attribution: credit dim.rest and link back.

Photographs referenced by photo_url are not ours and are not covered by that licence.

How the facts get there

By hand. A fact is marked only when someone has confirmed it from a source we can point at — a visit, a photograph of the room, the venue's own ordering system, or the venue telling us directly. When we cannot confirm it, the field stays at zero and the site shows a dash.

Found something wrong? Tell us and we will fix or remove it.
